Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

1. Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how NiceToMeetYou.ai (“NiceToMeetYou.ai,” “we,” or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and web app, on desktop and on mobile browsers. We use the cookies the Platform needs to work and, only when you arrive from one of our Meta ads, two first-party cookies that help us measure that ad. We do not use analytics cookies.

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you browse. Websites also use related technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, for similar purposes. In this policy we call all of them “cookies.”

3. Cookies We Use

  • Essential cookies: Keep you signed in, protect forms against forgery, and protect the Platform from abuse with reCAPTCHA Enterprise from Google, which sets its own cookies. The site will not work without them.
  • Preference cookies and local storage: Remember your language choice and save small pieces of information in your browser, such as whether you have finished the quiz and your subscription status, so pages load faster.
  • Ad click cookies (_fbc and _fbp): Set by our own server, only when you open the site from a link in one of our Meta ads. _fbc holds the click ID Meta adds to that link and _fbp holds a random browser ID. They last 90 days, no Meta script runs in your browser, and they are not set if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.

We do not run the Meta Pixel or any other Meta script in your browser. To measure our ads, our servers send Meta a record when you register, subscribe, or book, including the values of the ad click cookies when you have them. Section 5 of our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is sent.

4. How We Use the Data

  • Authenticate members, prevent fraudulent sign-ups, and enforce subscription limits.
  • Remember your language and other preferences.
  • Keep pages fast by remembering information the app already loaded.
  • Measure which of our Meta ads lead to registrations, subscriptions, and bookings.
  • Diagnose problems reported by the support team or Trust & Safety.

5. Managing Cookies

  • Browser controls: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their privacy or security settings. If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in. Blocking or deleting the ad click cookies does not affect how the Platform works.
  • Email preferences: Marketing emails contain an unsubscribe link, and account notifications can be managed inside the app.

We do not currently show a cookie consent banner. If we start using analytics cookies or other advertising cookies, or offer the Platform where the law requires consent for the ad click cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.

6. Third Parties & International Transfers

Google sets cookies for reCAPTCHA Enterprise when it checks for abuse. Meta does not set or read cookies on our site; it receives the ad click cookie values only in the records our servers send. Our other service providers, such as our payment processor Stripe on its own checkout pages, may use cookies on their own sites. These providers are contractually required to safeguard your data and may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.

7. Updates to This Policy

We will update this Cookie Policy when we introduce new technologies, engage new vendors, or when regulations change. Material updates will appear on this page with a fresh “Last updated” date, and we may notify you through the app or by email.
